According to Sony’s New Zealand’s staff, the Playstation 3 will turn into a programmable TV recorder at beginning of next year. The digital tuner will definitely help Sony to meet more people’s entertainment needs.
But even without being able to receive TV programs it’s a nice piece of technology – and I definitely want one!

nice idea. but it still remains to be seen if blu-ray or hd-dvd will win the race. i heard that it depends on the p*r*n-industry´s decision whether to choose blu-ray or hd-dvd. i read that they´ll go for blu-ray. so if that´s true the "ps3-recorder" would be a reasonable solution.
